Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly feature hosted by Jill (Breaking the Spine) that lets our readers know which books we are most looking forward to! Today I am letting you all know about The Pale Dream! This is Samantha Shannon’s first (and hopefully not the last) novella she has written for The Bone Season Series!

A dreamer is born- in the perilous heart of Scion London, a dangerous and valuable poltergeist is on the loose- and it must be caught before chaos erupts on the streets of the capital. Here, the clairvoyant underworld plays by its own rules, and rival gangs will stop at nothing to win such a magnificent prize. Sixteen-year-old Paige Mahoney is working for Jaxon Hall, the most notorious mime-lord in the city. He thinks she is hiding a powerful gift, but it refuses to surface. Maybe this is the opportunity she needs to secure her position in his gang, the Seven Seals…

This story sounds amazing and will give us a better insight into Paige’s relationship with Jax and some of the other members of her gang, and at only 78 pages it’s going to be a quick read! Yesterday, Samantha tweeted that this novella would be the happiest the story is going to get for a while! That’s worrying, but I have nothing but faith in Samantha’s story and writing.
It’s available to pre-order on kindle and all eBook readers to my knowledge (I don’t own an eBook, I just use the kindle app), and shall be available in hard copy in the back of The Bone Season when it is re-released next year in February with the stunning new covers (by David Mann who is a blooming genius). This book is available in 6 days! If you haven’t pre-ordered already, go now while you still have time!

Speaking of stunning covers, did anyone else see the beautiful photo posted here!
