January TBR and December Wrap Up

Happy 2017 all! I hope you’re all doing well and you had a safe and enjoyable night! What did you get up to? Party or just relaxing? I went to my friend’s house and we had pizza, a few drinks, and played some card games before going to watch the fireworks in the most beautiful and secluded place; it was a nice, relaxed evening. I put Hero’s by David Bowie on while the fireworks were happening and it was the perfect end to the year.
Have you made any resolutions? I’ve made three: read more, work harder, and stay more organised. I figure these are attainable because I can work harder as I’ll be enjoying myself this year. I can read more because I have more free time, and I should be able to stay more organised but that will be the hardest one for me!

I’m here to give you my TBR and wrap up. I do still need to finish The Rose and the Dagger but that shouldn’t take me too long as I’m determined to get a lot more reading done this year than last year.

December Wrap Up

Finding Wonders: Three Girls Who Changed Science by Jeannine Atkins and Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare! I don’t have photos of them so I’ve just grabbed two off Goodreads!

I enjoyed both books so much, and they were both so different that it was a nice contrast. I will have reviews for both books later one, I just need to get around to writing them. As you know from a previous post, I’ve not written anything for a while and I need to get back on the bandwagon!

January TBR.

This month I would like to finish The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh. I would also like to read Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater as I didn’t end up reading it last month, Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and The Winners Curse by Marie Rutkowski.

I’ve heard so many good things about these books so I can’t wait to sink my teeth into them. I love The Raven Cycle series so I can’t wait to finish that this year. I know, I’m pretty behind!

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years, until next time,
Rhi xx

  1. I absolutely loved The Raven Cycle, The Raven King was my last read of 2016 and I just love the whole adventure of these books! SO GOOD! I hope you love Blue Lily, Lily Blue!

    1. I’ve loved both Raven Boys and Dream Thieves so, I’m sure I’ll love Blue Lily! It’s such an incredible series! Who’s your favourite character? Mines Noah!

      1. I hope you like it as much as I did! That’s the hardest question! Ok if I had to pick one, it would be Gansey I think… He’s just got a way about him, that I enjoy reading about. I also love Ronan though… but I also love every single one of them! They are such great characters!… That is such an incoherent response, I am sorry haha.

      2. Don’t worry, most of my answers are incoherent haha! I love Ronan. I think I’d pick him as my second favourite, if that makes sense!

      3. Definitely, he’s so entertaining! I hope you love him in the last book, he definitely bumped him up the list because of the last book!

      4. He’s my second favourite after Noah! I’m honestly not a huge fan of Adam though. He’s the only one of the boys I’m not too keen on

      5. I felt the same for a long time, the first book definitely! He just annoyed me most of the time.

      6. I felt bad for him because he was in a terrible situation but he was so annoying. Gansy wasn’t trying to claim him, he just wanted to help his friend

      7. EXACTLY! That’s what annoyed me the most, it’s not like Gansey was being an asshole about it, he was just trying to help.

      11. Definitely don’t be afraid! I support you!!! If it makes you feel better I am writing a A Court of Mist and Fury review and having to eat my words from A Court of Thorns and Roses… I am thoroughly embarrassed haha!

I really need to reread The Wrath and the Dawn so I can finally read The Rose and the Dagger! I read the Raven Cycle last year and loved it but the third book was so random haha!

    1. I’m loving The Rose and the Dagger! I’m about half way through and then I’m moving straight in to Blue Lily. Random can be good ahaha I’m guessing it was a good random? 😛

It was just so strange I didn’t really know what was going on! I much preferred the Dream Thieves but it was still good 🙂
