Happy November everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable Halloween and are stuffing yourselves with chocolate and candy!
October was a slow month for me because I had all of my assignments and my exam study to do and November is going to be slow (especially the first two weeks) because I have some stuff happening that is going to take up a lot of time!
Last month I managed to read two books. I’m going to do full reviews for both of these books, don’t worry but for now, just a quick rating and quickly state how I feel about each book.
Wrap Up
The first book I read last month was Empire of Storms by Sarah J Maas, the hotly anticipated 6th book in the Throne of Glass series (yes I’m including the novellas). I gave this book a 5 on Goodreads but honestly, it was more of a 4.5 for me. There were bits I loved to death and bits I could have done without. Unpopular opinion, but I’m not a huge Aelin/Rowan fan. I do ship them, but I’m not as big of a fan as I am another ship in the book (which I won’t mention due to spoilers) but overall this book had some lovely twists and answered a few questions I had. We also learnt there was a character called Rhiannon so, that was cool! I loved this book, but it’s probably not my favourite in the series.
The second book I read last month was On the Other Side by Carrie Hope Fletcher and it was incredible. I loved every second of it, I spent most of those seconds crying like a baby but it was worth it for that last line! Carrie has written such an amazing book and I am so glad I read it last month. If you like to cry while reading and like a good romance, then I would highly recommend this book. 5 stars from me. I was drawn in from chapter one, I thought the idea of a personal Heaven was interesting and I couldn’t wait to see if she got to go through the door.
TBR
As you can see, my November TBR is quite small. I want to finish Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare and then move on to Clockwork Princess. If I get both of those done, I want to read The Rose and the Dagger by Renée Ahdieh. If I feel like more of the world I might even read City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare, book four in the Mortal Instruments series. I kind of want to have them all read by the end of the year but right now, those three books pictured above are the ones I really want to get done this month and due to time restrictions, I might not even get those three done and it’s killing me.
And that’s it for the month of October and November. What’s on your TBR for this month? Let me know in the comments!
